Aquaponics

Aquaponics is the growing of fish (Aquaculture) symbiotically with plants  being grown in water (hydroponics). The waste the fish give off nourishes the plants and the plants clean the water for the fish. Once set up, their are only three system inputs or requirements: fish food, electricity (for the pump) and the plant seeds. No pesticides, no artificial fertilizers, no chemicals. Aquaponic growers need not concern themselves with the formality of become certified organic. You know there are no chemicals being used because the fish are alive. You know the water is clean because the fish are alive.
